This is my first website that I'll actually be maintaining and posting on consistently, including updating and reformating as my design skills get a little better
Who are you, Jacoby Johnson?
As of writing this, I'm a senior in high school at Baton Rouge High School. I want to be a software engineer which is one of the reasons I wanted to take up making a website in the first place. The blogging part naturally followed and now we're here
Why did you make this blog?
Really, I made this blog because it'll give me a way to journal and motivation to understand things past the surface level so that I can share them with the rest of the world. I don't want to keep things that I learn to myself, but instead want to teach them to others, even if its just one person or only myself. Also, maybe my writing skills will flourish a little from this endeavor. Hopefully. We'll see.
What will be posted on here?
Usually whenever I come across a blog post on the internet, my interest come from that post teaching me something that I can use or giving me an observation that I hadn't noticed. Similarly, I've also noticed that many times, we as people walk the same paths and struggles, but sometimes there's nobody who was willing to leave a path for the others behind them., In the same way, I want to use this site as a way to teach others what I've found that I had to struggle with and the realizations and lessons that I gain from them so that others will learn from me, about programming, life, self-improvement, and my interests in general. With how many roadblocks there are throughout every week, I'm sure I won't run out of things to talk about anytime soon., All in all, the main motivation is those times that I have had to figure something out that I know is not unique to myself, but no one else had shared their fixes. We all learn from one another, so hopefully others can learn from me too.
TLDR: Something that'll hopefully help someone else
Why should I read this?
Great question! Unless you already want to, I'd not really recommend reading all of this website (although there obviously isn't much right now), only topics that may help you or relate to you.
If none of that applies to you, I would still appreciate it if you read it. I just hope that maybe I can give another angle on some topics that'll help others
Do you even know how to run a website?
Nope, but action is the best form of practice. I don't even really know how to make a website pretty or anything, but I don't think its half-bad right now... It'll get better.
EDIT (January 22, 2022): It got a little better
I'll try my best to keep this blog going for as long as I can. Maybe there will be growth, maybe not, only time will tell. I'm here to stay though. So Welcome, and thanks for visiting.
